RECIPE ADVENTURES | strawberry kicker

It’s getting in the 70’s here in Savannah, aka fall, and I’m still trying to hold onto the last bits of summer. This smoothie definitely brought me back to summer moments. Yum! A little experimenting sure can go a long way. Little did I know that frozen rhubarb pieces exist?? They do, and they are delicious! Here’s my impromptu end-of-summer smoothie recipe; a little ditty I’ll call the Strawberry Kicker.


  • Handful of frozen strawberries
  • Handful of frozen rhubarb
  • 1/3 cup of greek yogurt, plain
  • +/- 1 cup coconut water
  • 2 Truvia packets for sweetening (you could also use honey if you’re not trying to watch calories…at least that’s what I’d use!)
Blend this all together…and you have yourself a treat!
The rhubarbs and the greek yogurt mix really well here to bring out a little kick of sour and substance in this smoothie. Truvia balances the strawberries out with the sweetness. Soooo good, and only 2 weight watcher points+, if you happen to be counting those. Go get your blending on people….
